Weapon Characteristics~

As you probably know by now, Their are many different types of weapons which are available to the different classes.

SWORDS
Swords are good for fast attacks. Their the easiest to handle because their fast in attacking and retrieve. Therefore there isn't a massive lag time in between each combo.

AXE
Axes have the slowest of all weapons' finishing action. Their difficult to retrieve after and attack because its heavy and therefore there is a gap between each combo in which you are open to attack. However, disregarding its difficulty to handle, If you have a good Chain Attack Skill, in your skill tree its incredibly easy to inflict high damage critical strikes.

BLUNT WEAPONS
Blunt weapons are slower then swords in attacking and retrieving. Using a Blunt Weapon in chain attacks is slow so its frustrating however it disables the monsters defense due to it being a strong weapon.

SUBCLASSES

TWO HANDED
Two handed weapons are incredibly strong, However they are slow and they have a large lagtime in between each attack. However they are good because it is more consistent with the damage. Using them in chain attacks will lead to a high damage output. This is sub class of the above weapons.

ONE HANDED
One handed weapons are above average strength, however they are faster then Two handers and Tankers can also use a shield in combination with this so these weapons are useful. They have less of a opening after each combo then the Two handed so its easy to send out consistent blows with these weapons.

SMALL WEAPONS
If your using these weapons, Then most likely your a scout. If you aren't a scout I recommend you change your weapon immediately as you aren't maximizing your classes damage potential. They are incredibly fast and when dual wielding, they deal an average amount of damage at high speeds with a very small gap between each combo.

GUNS
These are in my opinion, Useless unless you've got a lot of points in DEX. Whilst it being range is useful, Its incredibly slow and its only useful one on one. If in mobs you will attract a lot of attention and get swarmed. Its only use that I can find so far is when monsters try to escape its easy to shoot them from afar.

Pet system~

So when I heard that there was a pet system, my first thought was "Its probably a poorly constructed AI and was only created as an additional thing to lure people to download the game",  however after testing it I was quite pleased to see that it was indeed useful and fun to play with.

The pet system is basically like this. First you buy a taming kit like this. Make sure you buy the correct taming kit for your pet level, If its incorrect level you won't be able to use the taming kit.

Then you basically find a small monster. You can tell if somethings a small monster if its visually small and in your monster log it has a small "s". This means that it is tameable. Once you use it, you will have to get 5 hearts to appear above the monster in order to tame it.

There are 3 types of Pets. The first one which is the most basic is the Combat pet. These pets basically just fight alongside you with the gear that you give them. They are useful through most of the game and they do a fair amount of damage though only consistently.

The second type is Looting pets.

Though they do not attack, They are useful as they make life more convenient as you don't need to stop to loot and waste time. They are useful through all of the game as early game it makes it faster for you to progress and late game as you probably won't have time to stop for a few seconds to loot as you fight off the massive onslaught of monsters.

The last type is Buff pets.

In personal opinion, these pets are only useful late game, When you have lots of gear that has been kit'd with runes. These pets basically just give you the bonuses that the gear is currently wearing. In early game it is recommended to stay away from these pets as the armour bonus you give it won't be good enough to compensate for extra damage or convenience that a Combat pet or a Looting pet will give.

Overall, Pets in general are pretty useful. Though you may aim at a specific pet early game, it is better to just stick with whatever pet you can get which benefits you the most as later on you will most likely get rid of it and change for a better pet.

When taming pets, make sure you are at least 5 levels higher, This makes it easier to survive to tame it. If you chose scout, You can use the "hide" skill, And then tame the pet whilst invisible. This makes it considerably easier as you won't be hit while taming and therefore you won't die in the process of taming.

Once you tame a pet, it will start leveling when you kill monsters. It won't however, Steal your exp. It gains experience separately to that you gain. After it reaches the level that you are at, It has a small percent to turn into a rare pet. Rare pets have the ability to have 2 functions. For example Combat and looting. These are incredibly useful though its hard to get. Pets only have 1 chance to evolve into a rare pet, so it won't try to evolve into a rare pet everytime it reaches your level.

Once a pet dies, It won't be in use in the field. You can revive them using the kits you can buy in the accessory shop or you can just go back into a resting area. Once you enter a resting area it will automatically revive.

Certain pets are hard to tame so be prepared to spend a good few hours if your aiming at a hard to tame pet such as Ice Hatchling, though it will pay off if you do tame it.

Intro to Wild Frontier

So recently I discovered a game on iPod/iPhone called "Wild Frontier" produced by the Korean company ALLSTAR games. It is about the main character who is stranded on a new continent filled with Mokars, which is the native race of this new continent. You can tame pets, fight monsters, make your own weapons and armour and basically just explore. This is a unique game which differs from Inotia by that the gameplay is more easier to understand and fun and differs from Zenonia as it has more details in character and class building and the battle system.

There are 3 different types of characters that you can choose from- Warrior, Tanker and Scout.

WARRIORS

Warriors are your stereotypical charging slashing berserker-with-standard-health type characters. They have incredible high STRength and damage output. However they are incredibly slow and lagtime between each combo may make it frustrating to play if you aren't use to high damage slow attacks. Depending on how you build your character you can have

Warriors gain 1 STR and 1 CON stat every level.

Hardcore Damage output
This is basically where you pump everything into STRength and hope that you'll be able to kill things before you take damage and die. This build relies on basically just charging and hitting the monsters, so theres no need for tactical play.

All Rounder
If you don't really like risking the chances of being able to die when fighting monsters. Focus your points in 2:1 for STR and CON and you'll have enough health to be able to withstand a few monster attacks.

Tank Wannabe
If you like being a warrior but you don't like how you constantly die, You can pump your stat points into con. And since you gain 1 CON and 1 STR everytime you level you'll basically be gaining 4 CON and 1 STR per level and you'll have high health as well as a steadily increasing low damage output. These type of warriors rely incredibly on their skills to do peak damage and therefore will burn a lot of Mana potions. These builds are not reccomended as if you wanted to tank you might as well have just chosen the "Tanker" class.

TANKER
The tankers are your regular high health/defence tanking characters. The fact that they have high health and high defence from an aditional armour bonus from shields make them an easy character to play as they do not drain your Lar,which is the currency in this game, from buying tonnes of potions.

Tankers gain 1STR and 1 CON per level.
Warrior Tank
One of the builds that if you play wrong will make it incredibly horrible end game. These builds may seem good early game as your level gain stat points of CON may make up for your lack of Con stat point pumping early game, and you'll still seem like a tank as monsters will probably do low damage early game, however in mid game and late game, Monsters become considerably stronger. If you choose this build , which isn't recommended, you will need to rely a lot on your passive skills to increase your resistence to elements, health and defence power. Since they can only wield one handed weapons their choices in powerful weapons is limited.

Tanker build
These are the normal tank builds which use the ratio of 2:1 between CON and STR. This way you have a high increase of Health per level and you still have a steady increase of damage. This is most prefered because of its stable gameplay through out early, mid and endgame. They rely a lot on armour and defence and health and though they constantly take damage it is only a small fraction of their total health. In my opinion it is the easiest class for beginners.

SCOUT
Scouts are like assassins, relying on speed and dodging as well as trickery and stealth in order to defeat their enemies. They are fast dual wielding monsters with a high speed dps. However they dont have much health or armour and therefore they willl take damage hard however with high DEX you can easily dodge attacks. They are also very tactical as they can place traps, bait monsters by shooting from afar and easily kill monsters.

Scout gain 1DEX and 1CON per level.

Rangers
These are the hard builds of this class. Rangers can deal alot of damage from afar however they aren't very good in close combat. Therefore they rely alot on potions, food and gear. However if played properly, you won't take much damage from monsters, as pushback will prevent them from getting near you. It is also advised you use traps in combination with this. They also rely on hide and swiftness, in order to go invisible so they can escape or get into a better position to snipe monsters and swiftness, to increase their move speed so they can easily stay out of range of monsters. If you choose this build, you will most likely have to rely on range as you won't do much damage physically.

Assassin type
This build relies alot on the high damage and the speed of attack. You can use the slice and dice skill to maximize your attack speed, whilst using hide and sneaking behind monsters and get a extra damage%. This type is the regularly used build as most people go a ratio of 2:1 or 1:2 for STR and DEX whilst occasionally putting a few points into CON.
